AUGUST 2019 The Mega Korban Programme was organised by the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Mosque Management Department, where it took place for 2 days. 11 cows were sacrificed, contributed by the Menteri Besar of Perak, the Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (YaPEIM) and USAS.

The programme began with cow slaughter and continued with butchering and cutting of meats. Then the sacrificial meat was then distributed to the believers and the needy. The programme was well received among the USAS staff, they were involved in preparing meals for lunch.

Thanks to all USAS staff and local community who had helped in making this programme a success.

AUGUST 2019 The lecturers from Unit of Al-Quran, Department of Usuluddin, Faculty of Islamic Studies from USAS had paid a visit Darul Quran, JAKIM in Kuala Kubu Bharu and Selangor International Islamic University College (KUIS). One of the aims is to take a closer look at the studies of Tahfiz Al-Quran in both institutions.

The visit was led by the Head of Unit, Al Fadhil Ustaz Suhaimi Md Lana on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.

AUGUST 2019 The signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for Research Collaboration between Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk) and Sultan Azlan Shah University (USAS) was held on August 5, 2019.

The purpose of the MOA is to highlight the effectiveness of JAIPk in spreading daqwah to the non-Muslims.

The MOA was signed by Dato’ Haji Mohd Yusop bin Haji Husin, the Director of JAIPk and Prof. Dato’ Dr. Wan Sabri bin Wan Yusof, the Deputy Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, on behalf of USAS.

AUGUST 2019 USAS really appreciates the effort of facilitators and volunteers involved in coordinating the Student Orientation Week for June 2019 Intake. The team consists of USAS students and staff from several departments and faculties.

The Student Orientation Week took place from June 30, 2019 to July 4, 2019. To acknowledge the team effort, the Student Affairs Department had organised Hi-Tea Ceremony on July 25, 2019 at the USAS Resort.

The event was graced with the presence of YBhg. Tuan Haji Anas bin Md Yusof, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Administration and Finance. We do hope that this event will foster closer relationship between USAS students and staff.

AUGUST 2019 USAS silat players have proven their success by bagging 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals in the SUPER Silat Sport Selection 2019 (Circuit 1).

Two silat players from USAS are selected to the next stage, the SUPER Silat Sport Selection 2019 (Circuit 2), which will take place in this October. They are Nur Farina Aziz (gold medal) and Nur ‘Aqilah Thursday (silver medal).

We wish this success will ignite the spirit of silat players from USAS to have even more success in the future.

JULY 2019 It is a day in history for Sultan Azlan Shah University (USAS), when there was a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between USAS and the Ministry of Education (MOE)’s IPG. The MoU was signed by the MOE’s Deputy Secretary-General Dato’ Kamel Mohamad, representing KSU on behalf of MOE and Tuan Haji Anas bin Md Yusuf, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Administration, representing USAS.

The highlights in the MoU are smart partnership in the Bachelor’s Degree, Master's Degree and Doctorate of Philosophy programmes, besides establishing all IPGs and USAS as the professional learning centres.

JULY 2019 The graduate of Diploma in Syariah from Sultan Azlan Shah University (USAS), Muhamad Aizat bin Badaruddin had been awarded with the Negeri Sembilan Sharia Lawyer Certification 2019.

His success is in fact no surprise since he had graduated with CGPA of 3.77. Aizat then pursued his studies at degree level in a university in Jordan.

He is now practising in Sharia Law at one of the legal firms in Ipoh, Perak. USAS would like to congratulate Aizat once again! We wish the best for your future endeavours.

JULY 2019  The Student Affairs Department had organised a ceremony to hand over Lembaga Kebajikan Perempuan Islam Malaysia (LKPIM) aid ​​under the Perak State Relations and Takaful Compensation (for accident) to a USAS student on 18 July 2019 (Thursday) at the USAS Gallery. The event was officiated by YB Tn. Hj Anas bin Md Yusof, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Administration and Finance. The event was held to deliver cash aids donated by LKPIM ​​to USAS students in conjunction with USAS Iftar Ceremony.


Yang Berusaha Tn. Hj Anas also handed over the Student Takaful Compensation to En. Mohd Zulkanain bin Mohd Nawi, the relative of Muhammad Afiq who had died in a road accident.

Hopefully, this event would motivate the students to be outstanding human beings in the future.
