Information and Requirements

  • Please be reminded that International Students are not allowed to enter Malaysia unless the Immigration Department of Malaysia has approved their student pass. Therefore, please do not make any arrangement to come to the institution before you receive the letter of approval of your student pass form USAS.
  • You are required to pay the following fees for visa processing before you enter this country (please refer the visa processing fees table):-
  • Medical Check-Up
    • Visa Processing Fee
    • Visa
    • Insurance
    • Personal Bond (Stamps)
    • Personal Bond
  • USAS will not be processing your visa if no payment is being made. All charges imposed by the bank will be paid by the student. Payment can be made in USD$ [in equivalent amount to Ringgit Malaysia (RM)].
  • All international students are required to pay personal bond at the point of registration, which is refundable upon completion of studies. The rate of personal bond varies by country as stipulated by the Malaysian Immigration Authority.
  • You have to bring along your original school transcripts and certificates for confirmation of authenticity of the documents submitted during your registration.
  • You will only officially register as a student of USAS upon payment of the following fees (please refer the tuition fees and other related fees table).
  • Payments can be made in the following form:- Telegraphic Transfer (T&T)

  • After the student’s application to Sultan Azlan Shah University has been approved, an offer letter and the medical check-up form will be issued.
  • New students are mandated to undergo a medical screening/ check-up at their home countries prior to the visa application.
  • Students are required to apply for the Student Visa 3 months prior to the date of the intake registration. The students must remain in their home countries during the visa processing.
  • The student’s passport must be valid for a period of at least 15 month from the intake registration date, during the time of the visa application.
  • Sultan Azlan Shah University does not accept any international students using the Social Visit Pass for their study applications.
  • Students are only allowed entry to Malaysia and start their study at Sultan Azlan Shah University after the Student Visa and Student Pass application have been approved by the Immigration Department of Malaysia and Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS).
  • For students that are already in Malaysia with Student Pass Visa or Working Visa, the existing visa has to be shortened or annulled by their previous institution or employer prior to the new visa application for their study at Sultan Azlan Shah University.
